Since I am totally scared of ghosts and such (and this movie scared me), I'd suggest you to watch Noroi.

But nyeh, Japanese do know how to scare you in general.
Most of their movies are simply awesome!

And in my opinion, bloody thrillers are qualified as horror movies aswell. For me, atleast.

Haven't see any Japanese Horror (Only the ring and uhm the grudge part 1 2 3)
But can't say I was scared and couldnt sleep that night haha
