Re: Books that you like/love
Have you never heard of Bootcamp before?
In the middle of the night, fifteen year old Garrett Durrell is kidnapped and sent to a boot camp called Lake Harmony.
Upon his arrival, he learns that his parents have sent him to the
facility because he refused to stop dating his former math teacher,
Sabrina. Garrett doesn't believe he belongs at Lake Harmony, but he is
not allowed to leave until he has admitted his "mistakes" and conforms
to the facility's standards of behavior. Staff members are authorized to
use "any force necessary" to alter his behavior, including physical and
psychological abuse.
After attempting to talk his way out with no success, he realizes
escape is his only option. He escapes Lake Harmony with two friends
after using chemicals to start a fire. They reach the Canadian border to
escape from legal recapture, and their pursuers' boat begins to sink.
He lets his friends out on the other side of the border, and then
rescues his pursuers, who bring him back to Lake Harmony, where he is
beaten senseless. The director announces that all campers are being
demoted, based on the privilege system they use, and so he is beaten yet
again by the campers. Ultimately, he is "reformed". When his mother
comes to pick him up, she asks if he was beaten. He says that he was,
but admits that he deserved it.

Sounds a good book, gonna look for it, if it is translated to dutch haha
Re: Books that you like/love
Lets see
Robin Hobb has alot of good ones (the newest ones suck tho)
theyre really old and can be hard to read
and i just finished Demonata by Darren Shan
really good series and even better than his first one
Trudi Canavan has pretty good ones too, they just always seem to have the same setting
i like so many books that i cant write about all of them

Re: Books that you like/love
I quite like the Kay Scarpetta Crime Fiction series by Patricia Cornwell... Its kinda a bit graphic but its really good considering its a job prospect that i have.... Morgue Supervisor or something like that. I'm currently on the 9th book out of #.... they're still being written...
Ermm.... other books i completely adore:
Inheritence Cycle although I found Brisingr a bit slow...
Harry Potter - lame ending though.... cant wait for the final film to come out.
Legend of the Dark Crystal - Manga based on Jim Henson's Dark Crystal
Return to the Labyrinth - Manga based on Jim Henson's Labyrinth series
Paranormalcy - relatively good fantasy novel, first in series by someone
To be continued when im home with my bookcase ^^

Re: Books that you like/love
i guess he meant to say that the end suggests that there might be another book (does this even make more sense?)

Re: Books that you like/love
I dont think there is.... JK Rowling said that it was the end.... she wasnt going to write anymore... But there may be some spin offs? Like... not based on Harry as the main character, but on his kids?
Re: Books that you like/love
Yeah thats what I mean, when I was calling with the publisher they told me not that there is never coming a sequel of it. So I guess that there could be coming a new part (maybe like you said) about the kids. Why should she write a little thing about 19 years later , if she stop with the serie
Thats my opinion of course
